Who is behind H & E Social?

Hi, I’m Mish. I’ve always been a creative person, which probably stems back from my early years as a hairdresser. My family owned pubs and ran clubs back in the 80s & 90s, so I guess it was inevitable that I ended up working in hospitality after I decided to retire the scissors in 2010.

Starting all over again in a completely different industry, I began working in a new local club in FNB. It didn’t take long before I found myself involved in events and marketing, always looking for new ways to offer patrons a better experience. I quickly developed a passion for making this my priority. I went back to school to learn the world of digital marketing, gaining a qualification and landing myself the role of Marketing and Communications Manager at the venue for a number of years.

Fast forward to now, after achieving my goals in venue management in a variety of hospitality settings, building lasting relationships with hospitality industry professionals and entertainment providers, I decided to focus on building my own brand, H & E Social, where I now independently offer my services, experience and knowledge to help other businesses achieve their marketing, customer service and event goals too.

I understand that the hospitality industry and the world of events & entertainment require specialised marketing techniques. Through my experiences working in venues, I have identified a gap in the market where smaller to medium sized venues and entertainment artists can’t always afford or rely on the bigger agencies. My approach is not one-size-fits-all when it comes to promoting venues or captivating audiences. I offer bespoke marketing solutions with a variety of packages and services that are personalised according to your brand, objectives, and target audience.
You won’t have an “account manager” assigned to your needs with us, you will receive personalised service directly from me where I will make it my business to know yours, as if I were one of your team members.

All my services include regular meetings, emails, phone catch ups and most importantly, regular on-site visits to ensure we are always on the same page across all your marketing and communication efforts, whilst ensuring we stay true to your brand.
